Transcribe Names

We're currently working on the "Name" column of the 1930 census. Click which type of assignment you prefer:
  • Pages near your current location (Your browser may give us your location if you allow it to, otherwise we'll just estimate based on your internet IP address).
  • Pages near a location you choose on a map (Click a county, then "Transcribe records near this place")
  • (to come) Pages that appear to have your ancestors' names on them. You'll need a free account on the Historic Journals website for this option. Historic Journals can import your ancestor list from FamilySearch for convenience.
You can also transcribe as you search. When you view a page image that has not been transcribed, we'll ask if you want to transcribe it.
